Our Story

Welcome to River’s Dahlia in Veneta, Oregon. Here at River’s Dahlias we have an ever changing variety of dahlia tubers for sale. We are a small family hobby farm. We focus on creating new dahlia varieties for both show and gardening. 

While our show line dahlias hold the prefix “River’s”. These varieties are named after our son, Johnnie River. Our gardening line, WB, centers around flowers that make excellent cut flowers. This line is named for River’s mother Wendy B. We are also very excited for the release of our new line of Open Center Dahlias from our up & coming hybridizer, Rosie. This line holds the prefix of “EJ’s” named after her daughter Eleanor Jean. All of our breeding programs are held to a strict set of parameters. These parameters are build from the judging criteria set forth by the American Dahlia Society.

Since we are just hobbyists and not a big commercial operation our stash of dahlias is very limited. We are sure if you give these dahlias a try, you will love growing them as much as we do.
